After a career of almost a decade in business consulting, particularly in IT project management, I decided to make room for my path in the arts.
I originally studied Applied Mathematics and Information Management, both highly rational and structured fields. This background still influences my artistic work today.
I am now completing my degree in Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, while building this new path in the visual arts.

My artistic practice develops through oil painting, and I am particularly interested in the idea that meaning and knowledge are not built through reason alone, but also through sensory and emotional experience.
I move between rule and freedom, geometry and the organic. But always by looking closely and trying to give attention to what usually goes unnoticed.
I want to investigate the relationship between sensory perception, memory and emotional experience, and to understand how each of these dimensions contributes to the way we inhabit the world, spaces and relationships.
